She might sue for some b/s about being embarrassed or something. Whatever legal term that can be used here. It just seems like people these days just want to get things for doing nothing, is all that I am saying. Why would this lady go to the press and make it more of an embarrassing moment in her life? There has to be some good reason for it.

You' re thinking of Intentional infliction of emotional distress or IIED.

She would lose because she would need all of the following to prove it.
1. Defendant acted intentionally or recklessly; and
2. Defendant’s conduct was extreme and outrageous; and
3. Defendant’s act is the cause of the distress; and
4. Plaintiff suffers severe emotional distress as a result of defendant’s conduct.

This through the alignment off for the camera so it couldn't detect the oncoming lights. So instead of having the customer sit in the car while I realigned the camera we just had a couple of guys sit on the driver's side of the car and then i realigned it.
Was that to hard to figure out so the lady didn't feel so bad about herself. Now that lady is going to probably sue or something and she will probably win.

In your case, it was easier to handle because all you had to do was change the angle of a little camera. In this girl's case, her weight is throwing off the way the car steers and handles. How could you possibly adjust the alignment of a car to compensate for her weight when you know that if anyone else is in the car with her it's going to throw off the alignment again and she'll be back? Not to mention the safety factor of the whole thing.

Eventually, this news would have to be brought to her attention because it's not the dealership that is screwing up and they're not going to continue to diagnose a problem and rack up labor when they know what is causing it.

Does anyone miss when cars were made big in general? I know I sure do. I miss my grandfather's Caprice Classic. That had a lot of room in it both front and back seats. I miss driving boats instead of these windup toys they manufacture nowadays. I went from driving a 87 Pontiac Safari Station wagon as my DD during College which was longer than most extended pickup trucks and SUVs and that was a big boat made of metal and woodgrain. Horrible on gas and bad acceleration, but damn it was a comfortable car, handles smoothly, great suspension and lots of room, just like the Caprice. Even Cadillac has shrunk their DTS. I don't get why. Not everyone wants a smaller car in exchange for fuel economy. I blame having to compete with the Asian car market. I love those Caddys from the 50s and 60s that are so long with those huge trunks.

I agree, Apparently most people that complain about alignment pulls don't think about crowning in the roadways (for drainage), radial pull from bad tires, etc.

She's the kinda person that'll end up dieing in a fire cause they couldn't fit her ass out the window...maybe she should just drive a truck? anybody think of that?

I understand that people are over weight from medical disease, and genetics , but most of the time its a lack of motivation to do something about it. This girl has no reason to complain about a dealership asking for her weight or sit in the car while doing an alignment. She should be happy that they are trying to tailor the car to her fat ass.

im fat. im 6'3 285 pounds. i tried to just sit in a solstice and couldnt, i could fit like a leg in and could sit down. kinda rediculous. didnt offend me in any way, im not gunna complain to pontiac for it, i just know to keep my fatself out the small ****in cars. i had a 86 firebird and was comfortable in that but my legs would get claustrophobic and now i have a durango and im perfectly fine. but for the record...im not that fat. everyone thinks i weigh like 220 lol.

no more like a utilitly bed dually...or at least a 3500 with hydraulic tilt bed so she can just roll her fat ass out, and a winch to get in...It would have to be a tow truck quality winch though. thats a lot of wear and tear

They made their mistake of getting fat why should we have to pay for them to get comfortable. Make them walk their butt until they can fit correctly with out any major adjustments. If its a woman thats of average size but just has above normal hooters, than yea lets help her out to get that seat belt to fit.
