6800 is the max were willing to spin it 6500 is really where we want the powerband to end but i figured when i told AI my goals thats what id tell them. and what you mean beef it up by ditching the rivets?

From what I've been reading on some other boards the LS1 retro fit ECM is nearly ready for release. Right now it seems like it is going to be the easiest system to install and have allot of value.

The rotor is held together by rivets and you drill them out and replace with something more substantial if I am not mistaken.

Haven't broken anything since the explosing and fire. Car did a self oil change on Atco's 1000' marker. lol. That was back in '05 with the "fast" motor. Car has been pretty solid. I did have issues until I learned how to "bleed" air from the cooling system. Once I restrained myself from going faster and focused on slowing the car down the parts stayed together. Everything in the car is rated for twice the current HP which also helps. The car has 1500+ runs on it and is still good for another season. After that I will do a tear down and a freshen up. Hummm high compression pistons ..... uh oh.

Crowler forged crank for the LT1.
Crowler 6" forged stroker rods. No need to notch the block.
Don't know what pistons, left that up the the machine shop. He is local and specializes in building roundy round car engines. Can u say durable. He figured out the necessary dished size to let me run on 92-93 octane and got a matched set.

I got $4K into the short block unassembled. But it stays together. Crank was like $2k, rods another grand. Had the block drilled for 4bolt mains, align bored, yada, yada, yada. Yes expensive to run 12.0's. Divide the cost by the amount of runs and it then makes sense. Try running you car down the track 1500 times without braking something.

Um you buy a really expensive Jesel belt drive, and use it to turn a dizzy. Then you run a remote waterpump. Simple.
