i will get to the route of the problem tonite before i start posting/bashing the crap out of cartek. they have done very well for me & my buddies in the past.
either have a bad injector or 2 or have a ground issue since the injectors work off switching ground.(not likely cause real clean harness & install)

CARTEK is in the CLEAR (boosted lq9 tragedy)
well guys got to the root of the problem...........
boost reference fuel pressure reg. bladder ruptured allowing fuel to fill the intake via boost ref. port. line to intake.
100% not my fault or carteks
100% proffesional products fault.
contacted proprod and i have to email pics and explaination of how this happened & what is bad. said they will do there best to rectify the problem.
they will be handing me a check for a couple grand is how theyre gonna rectify the f*****n problem !
spent way to many hours research and build of this engine to take it in the @ss over a $200 part that i thought was so called ..."professional" !!!!!!!!

I feel your pain. I have about err 10k or so in the vert's motor now. Just to have it ****ed up by a 6 dollar oil filter sucking in on itself. When I really needed the 3 dollar one from walmart.
Good luck tho dood. If ya need help let us know. There are a few good people on here that dont mind working.
As for tuning, JS Performance or any of the site sponsors are good and will work with ya

thanks & sorry to here bout the filter issue. i won't use walmart/fram/stp etc.... when it comes to gaskets / filters i only use gm o.e....
a couple years back there was issues with filter w/ no check valve in them that caused lot of engine probs.
i would have used one of the sponsors for tuning but i am one of those guys that will stick with what has worked best for me , once i get f****d never use again.
had good experience w/ over 5 cars via carteks tuning, didn;t want to chance someone else.
CARTEK did say they would pt car back on dyno and retune for free ($750 normally sd tune) since they felt bad that i had some issues w/ car. Wasn't their fault at all so thats pretty stand up of them in my book.

Glad you found the problem and hopefully you will get some help for your troubles. Sure its just a car but I value my time and its hard to come by sometimes. I would be furious if this happened to me and absolutely bummed. Hope it goes together easier this time around.

another reason to add to my fear of forcing feeding a naturally aspirated car.
reason #13467456 after market part failure.
its always good to figure out what the problem is though. Hope everything works out for ya.
if it makes you feel better your car would have walked all over most of us for that one hour

part failure........ #1 reason for angry mechanics.
i got out of the industry cause i lost my love for building cars being that was all i did all day.
and then getting the passion back for it, then something like this happens.... man, brings ya down real quick !!!
you know in lampoons christmas vacation when chevy chase goes off on his rant after getting his jelly of the month club certificate .... no good, slimy, fat, fartsmellin, cheap etc.etc. etc....
i'm that friggin pissed off !!!

i don't get that angry when i get a comeback for bad parts, i just get annoyed i gotta do that **** again. Mainly cause i lose nothing just time, nice being corp. owned sometimes.
But i know what you are saying when its your own car. Luckily i have not experienced this yet. I know i will. Big reason why i am hesitant about getting into internals of my car since its a DD .

my motor hyrdo-locked within 200miles of owning it, turned the key one morning (like a week after taking it home) one loud bang and it was over, bad gasket let coolant in and rod failed
needless to say that was 3000$ after all was said and done

i would stay away from all Professional Products parts at all costs.
They just are poor quality and you're just asking for a bad result.
Sure an intake wont "break" really but still
When i first rebuilt my SS, I needed a balancer so i decided to go aftermarket and get an SFI one. Professional Products one was like 150 vs. Fluidampnr at like 400.
Well the second day i had the car out i think, i heard a loud bang while coming off the highway and then screeching, pulled in a parking lot, pushed the clutch in and the motor stalled out. I popped the hood to see i had torn the hub of the balancer away from the outer ring. The rubber layer holding the 2 together was wasted. Luckily it has just shifted back scuffing up the front cover and still held 2 ribs of the belt still on. I got it towed home and when i ordered a new one, i went for the 400 dollar one this time. I called professional products and they seemed like they would help, but i just didnt have the patience for them and didnt bother since no real damage was done to anything else. i just learned to stay away from them.
and trust me i know what you mean by all the time spent on the car etc. having a car you love down for 6 months sucks. Mine was down for 21 months.... that sucked.

I wasn't really going to go into this, but since it came up:
Professional Products has never had a solid rep from what I've seen. When I first heard the name they were big into ripping off Edelbrock's manifolds and selling them at a lower price (since they don't have R+D costs to cover). They sell cheap imported knock offs that people buy because of price point. You hear tons of stories about bad imported products but they still sell very well.
SJ, I hope you get your money back. This is a ****** raw deal and I hate reading about it. Don't hesitate to go to the state attorney general about it. I've had to do that before and it helped my cause. Going to be a tough fight getting money from an already slimy company.
