well we just got power back this morning they rebuilt the sub station so all is well. heres some pics
[IMG]
after the water receeded there was water in the bottom drawers of all the tool boxes so safe to say there was a foot or more water in the shop at one point
the sub station is behind the post office 10 yards from the river bank
[/IMG]
the fence in the picture is abt 3.5 feet high

surrounding towns around here still have no power. people are complaining, what they dont get is this was a MAJOR storm. many old timers said this was the worst theyve seen. we prepared the best we could and all the workers are doing their best, people just have to hang tight.

PSE&G reported this morning that 96% of their customers have power restored, from over 798,000 it is less than 4,800 and the rest should have power restored by tomorrow

canal road, this was early in the afternoon, when i came back i couldn't even get down to where i was
the canal in south bound brook, those are the locks, completely filled up, towpath gone, the river was moving very fast
colonial park, later in the afternoon this part wasn't flooded anymore
colonial park again, looking west towards metlers road, you can see the street sign thats on/near the bridge
looking to the right of the above picture, right in front of me was the path that goes down and across the road, as the other part drained, this part flooded
amwell road looking west towards millstone, def the worst i've seen over here
