89 iroc z 305tpi question

I'm going to be buying an 89 IROC Z 305 TPI from a friend this friday. It has a new trans 700r4. How can I tell which of the 3 TPI options it has? Can I tell by the VIN?

if it is a 305 TPI the option code LB9 will appear on the RPO sheet if it is still in the glove box and the 8th digit of the vin will be F if i remember correctly. the oter engine options in 89 were the 305TBI(LO3, vin code E) and the 350TPI(L98, vin code 8 )
if the RPO sheet is still on the udnerside of the console lid just post up the list here and we cna break it all down fro you. congrats on the car, hope to see it at a few meets.

Tim, your memory is correct. We might be old, but our brains are still working!
