something not right on ebay

i dunno how long itll stay liek this, but search ebay vehicles for camaro, and then start at lowest priced first, several 67-69 VERY VERY nice camaros with "buy it now" prices listed in the ad of 5000-6000. somehtign is not legit...a yenko documented saying a BIN of 6k, no ****ing way...someone is up to something, probably hijacking accounts and posting fake listings

before i bid on anything, i check feedback and what previous items were bought and sold. then i decide if its legit or not. even selling, i reveiw previous purchases of bidders to see if they are making serious bids or wasting my time. With the camaros tonight, it was i think 5 cars, from a 67 SS 396 to a 69 Yenko, most starting at under $1 and no reserve. Ebay removed them within about 2 hours from when they were listed.

Don't bother looking at feedback. Once an account is hijacked it can all look legit. There's been a huge number of scam auctions lately. Lots of accounts are getting hijacked because people are using the scam links in emails and giving out their passwords. I can't imagine these guys are really getting much money from people, but all they really want is the deposit money. But their "Buy It Now" price is always way too low and make it obvious they don't have a car. I bet that a good 25-30% of the Camaro auctions are scams. Ebay is rapidly losing control and needs to figure something out pretty quick.

well what i meant by checking feedback is itll be like 10 items, and tey would be like child toys, women clothing and home nicknacks then now they are auctioning off a 67 ss.. thats a sign.

I dont trust any emails, if ebay wants my attention then can send me an alert through "my ebay". For what us sellers pay in ebay fees, you're right, they really do need to get it all back under control.

But with a hijacked account it doesn't matter what the real owner of the account purchased or sold prior to it being hijacked. The account is now controlled by someone that has never bought or sold anything and they just want your deposit money. They always do really short auctions because the account owner will figure out that it's been hijacked and Ebay will shut it down quickly. My buddy almost bought superbowl tickets from a scammer last year until he mentioned that it was a 1 day auction!
