Yep, Vacume operated cut-outs, they have been around for ever!

For the LSx GTO's its a 2.5" exhaust cat-bacl, and we just re-designed the 2.5" QTEC
(part# qtec50, only draw back is someone has to custom fabricate the actual y-piece that branches off)

Yeah... I know Pontiac had them on the 70 GTO. Never actually saw how they worked until now.

I posted a link on those mufflers a couple of weeks ago. It was a pretty unique option.
