Most fun car you ever drove or owned?

As I'm sitting here contemplating selling my beautiful 4th Gen. I was thinking about all the cars I've owned which is roughly about 50. And which ones I enjoyed 'driving' the most. The one that you just wanted to go hop in and take a nice drive in.
My most favorite car to drive was my 1973 Triumph TR6. Straight six, 4-spd/ with o/d. Whether it was up River Road or down 195 to Martells, that car was fun. It just oozed sex out of the exhaust.

Also on my short list would be
My 81 Camaro 327 motor, 6700 rpm redline, what every red blooded American boy should have atleast once.

88 K-5 Blazer, top off, red necking down the pines on a warm summer night with my future wife, getting lost

'74 VW Beetle 1776cc dual Webers, chirped second. Go-cart on the street,Just fun.

And my 98 Z28, Just snappy, I'll always remember taken it home from the dealer, t-tops off my son in the back, monsoon cranked up. I always wanted a 4th Gen ever since '93. When I was selling Audi's I'd sit on the computer and go to Chevy's website and build the one I wanted. I finally got it too, almost the way I wanted except the 6-spd.
Anyone else have a fav or 2?

I have liked all my Camaros a lot, fun cars, easy to work on, and they make ricers pee their pants with a proper exhaust.

Scariest/Most exhilarating ride ever was a race prepped Porsche 911. Perfect 50/50 weight distribution which made for amazing handling and some odd characteristics when control was lost. Seems perfect weight balance means it doesn't under steer, it doesn't over steer, it just loses grip and spins around the center of the car.

In high school a friends father restored an old fuel altered. It didn't have the old insane motor in it, but it had a big block strong enough to make me crap my pants when he let me take it out in the street and whack the gas. Think sitting on center line of country road to seeing the mail box to staring at the telephone pole on the other side of the street faster than you can say panic attack.

There have been a lot of not terrible exciting cars that I have really liked too. My bro's old 1992 Talon was a blast, dying/oil leaking turbo, road race suspension, and very little compression. Once it spooled enough to pressurize the crank case and the engine, man it pulled like a freight train. lol

My bro's WRX is also one of the best long trip cars I have ever driven. We took it out to Indy for the F1 race. Other than not getting great mileage at rush hour traffic speeds, it was very comfortable.

And of course, Rally Cav! My old poop brown 84 Cavalier. 2.0 TBI knocking down 86(rated)HP of raw fury!! Ran inconsistant 19's in the 1320' but still went a lot of rounds, never got stuck, had enough subwoofer to make cd's skip, and it pwned the local trails. By far the most redneck, stupid fun, takes a beating car I have ever owned.

i leased a 2002 acura rsx right out of high school, 2.0l 160 horse, 5 speed. It was a really fun car, the seats were uncomfortable, but it was really run to drive, i kinda miss it.

HA, I forgot to mention the 911 (my uncles) They are fun cars also, especially when you learn how to load the rear tire for the corner and lay the throttle on. It's a fine line between snapping the rear around and perfect bliss.

Most fun is my current Nova. Fun in that it's easy and cheap to work on and it's a lot of fun to drive. My other 3 projects were just not that great, and the GTP is distant second.

As for most fun to drive, that would be my brother's Chevelle. 427, 621hp/555lb-ft, 4.56 gears on a spool, TH400 with a pro ratchet shifter. On woefully undersized 235/60/15 BFGs. The thing howls at 3500-4000 at 55mph but it's violently sideways in every gear before that.

Most fun race car was a 67 camaro race car on methanol running 8.50s. It was slower than my rail but was definitely more of a crowd pleaser. Heads turned the few times I drove it up into the lanes, so that was pretty funny. Til the guy who owned it tuned it too lean and it went boom at 1000'

As for street cars, my friend mikes trans am that he sold a few years ago. It was something like 500 rwhp iirc. One of the first 4th gens I ever liked.

If you only ran that 327 to 6700 you had much more room to go

Most fun to cruise in: My dads 68 GTO: Convertible, loud pipes, always gets attention, and isnt as touchy as my Chevelle was.

Most Enjoyable: 68 Vette 427 3-2barrel car, 4speed....

Most fun Ive ever owned: Tie between the Camaro and the Ram. Both took/take a beating and were always dependable.

Most fun car driven: My dads 64 Malibu SS. Just that experience of driving an old car was/is priceless.
Most fun car owned: My 92 RS. First car I bought all by myself. My favorite memory was driving to Rutgers for my summer orientation, driving on 287 with the t-tops off, radio blasting just loud enough to cancel the wind out, but still letting the sound of the exhaust through.

I honestly can't pick one of my cars over any of the others but I'll lean towards the 68 SS396 Camaro convertible with 4 speed. It had a built 396 and was a blast. I think my old 87 4Runner with the turbo 4 cyl was the most comfortable to drive. After I fixed the turbo and ported the manifold and housing it had some decent kick to it too. Nothing like spooling up a turbo 4x4 in the snow!

One of my most favorite former cars was my '96 DGGM Impala SS - I owned it from '98 to '00. Ran 14.60s with just a K&N FIPK and Flowmaster cat-back, and it got every car in the left lane on the Turnpike to move out of my way because they thought I was an unmarked trooper.

I think the most ridiculous vehicle I've ever ridden in was Andris Skulte's twin-turbo IROC - hazing the rear tires from a 50mph roll will scare the crap outta you!

Almost all of my cars have been fun, starting with my 1981 Toyota Corolla. Yeah, that's right. It was a hand me down from my step-father that I drove my junior and senior year of high school until I got my first Camaro. I was the first to drive in my circle of friends, and we'd load that sucker up on a Friday and/or Saturday night and that poor little car survived idiotic on/off ramp speeds, donuts and neutral drops until I sold it. That car didn't owe me a thing!

Then came the '83 Camaro. This was my first, and despite the anemic 2.8 and craptacular 200R transmission, I LOVED that car. I felt like a king picking my girl up in that car. Eventually, the girl was gone and I threw a rod through the block and cracked the frame long before I could afford to do my dreamed-of V8 swap.

After that came my clapped out '75 Camaro. It was an old, rusted to heel LT with a black vinyl roof that was torn and missing. You could see the road beyond the floorboards but it had a very strong 350. I bolted on an Edelbrock Performer intake and a Holley 600 carb and thought I was hot crap in college. A lot of good memories in that car.

Before Chevy killed off the Caprice, I was lucky enough to get paid to flog one of those bad boys with the LT1 and the aircraft hoses in the engine bay. That sucker could get up and go! Good times! Couldn't wait to get a hot call just to get there fast!

These days, I dream of driving my Trans Am (When I finish building it sometime in 2034) but I love driving my Jeep. Nothing like rolling down the highway, top down, doors off, 33s humming, Thrush muffler droning...good times!

My 924 is hands down the most fun. The "flickability" of the chassis and the good powerband and the interior feel make it lots of fun to just cruise or tear up the road. And the brake and steering feel make it very unique. Close second is the 01 mr2 i had 2 years ago(just needed about 50 more hp). My favorite car ive had overall was my first supra, an 86 N/A 5 speed. I loved the sound and the smoothness of the I6 and the comfyness. The "coolest" car i had in my opinion was my 85 monte carlo. It was flat black, lowered about 3 inches, with red wagon wheels with moon caps (back to the future) and a very loud exhaust and lumpy cammed 350. It was the first car i ever modified and i think i did pretty good.

i gotta say mine is my formula i absolutely loved this car ... i remember taking it home from the shore the first day and figuring out how sideways this car could get ... the power scared the sh** outta me or the days leavcing the high school with the othjer birds and a cloud of smoke behind us i remember driving on 72 heading to seaside memorial day weekend with girls in a silver mustang (v6) next to us flashing us (no joke didnt see much though we later met them on the boardwalk i was known as "pontiac boy" =] ) or camping this fall up near high point ripping through hawks nest t tops off second gear just screaming carving those turns keeping up with dirt bikes that had sport tires popping wheelies. I absolutely loved this car and will never forget it im gonna miss it so much

The most fun car i ever drove would be an 06 GTO with the 6.0 and six speed. That car just has balls it's awesome. I was so used to driving my LT1 that rattled and made noises and when I got in that car and it just took off and accelerated smoothly as if it weren't even trying, I was very impressed. Other than that, 750Li that I drove was a tank but it's acceleration is surprising and I really liked driving that.
