GM tech 2 scan tool for rent?

Guys, any GM techs out there? I put a AUX ipod interface in my 2004 Malibu, but I need the XM option turned on for it to work. Does anyone have a tech2 scan tool I could borrow for 5 min? Thanks!

Hi, Oakhurst in monmouth county? That is very close! I live just east of Freehold, just about 40 min away. I still need to replace the brakes, but we can definitely schedule something, thanks! If you want to PM me of email me to continue conversion, that would be great!

OK, is there anyone else out there that might have one of these Tech 2 scanners?

NJ torque and I traded some texts, but I had an issue with my car that took longer than I thought to fix (new BCM required). I texted him recently to arrange a time, but maybe he is on vacation. I have not heard back from him.

Chevy dealer would not activate XM on the radio without doing the whole XM install A local place said they would try to do it (they have never tried to change a radio), but they want $125 (minimum diagnostic fee).

Any other suggestions?

The instructions are literally: hook up the tech2, go to radio digital options, highlight XM, activate, save.

Thx

If it's really that easy we can try it at my place. Sounds like a 30 second job as far as those instructions go. Never done that on a Malibu though, most radio setups I've done involve SPS programming via the GM site.

EDIT: I'm in Princeton Junction by the way.

Grifter, Princeton Junction is close to me as well (I work on Route 1 just north of there). So how do I go about stopping by? Thanks!
