4l60e

4l60e in my s10 blazer lost 2nd 4th and reverse while on an off road trip today, at first i figured something froze up due to the temps in the teens and all the water mud we went thru... so i googled and found this....

'1st and 3rd only, no 2,4 or R: Sunshell is fractured or splines are sheared off. Transmission must be removed and rebuilt. Try not to run or drive the car or further damage could result.'

sounds pretty legit huh? dam

a trail all the way at the very top of stag, i never knew about it, it was pretty rough. it was me a new 4runner and 8 jeeps. one jeep lost a driveshaft, one jeep blew a belt, one jeep lost brakes, and an 04 lifted GC went over some ice, and sunk deep and died.

i think im just guna have my trans guy rebuild it, he loves me by now lol. i need the truck to go to vermont in 2 weeks.

I had a 95 Blazer LT in college as a DD and at around 160k miles I lost 1st and 4th. I only had 2nd, 3rd and reverse; the opposite of you. I ended up trading the truck in for $500. That truck was awesome...

I remember driving down this random "trail" we found and it was about half as wide as the truck. The entire ride down it was just screeching from the trees scraping the paint and windows. The terrain was fine so I was doing maybe 25 or 30mph when suddenly my friend sitting backseat shotty yells "Sewer, sewer!" Before I know it I slam into a manhole cover sticking out in the middle of the trail. It dented up the passenger side running board 4 or 5 inches dead in the middle and almost ripped it off. Fun times...

Ouch that really sucks.

I remember blowing my front drive shaft in mud half way up my doors on my Chevy; I was lost on some trail by my house. A few minutes before that I went up a huge hill and when I got to the top I was about 10 feet from someone's house lol - it was only like 1 A.M.

After hearing all the clanking I popped it back into 2WD and the sound went away. My buddy told me I was never going to make it out but the old girl did
