mopars at carlisle

i went to carlisle this weekend to check out something different. i love GM but it was getting tired of looking at goats, camaros, chevelles etc so this was an awesome change of pace. the show was great they had EVERYTHING. parts were out the ass and cars were all over. really just an awesome show. just goes to show how dedicated mopar people are, i was looking at a car and i said i was a GM guy but these cars are impressive. boy was that the wrong thing to say some dude turned around and gave us the death stare like he was about to pull a gun on us.

fav car, the javelin

they like the I6s

Heh....the slant 6 is probably the most famous Chrysler motor ever, behind the 426 Hemi.

Those things are indestructible.

not going to lie. I have always had a soft spot for mopars. Plymouth was probably my favorite car brand ever, followed by AMC. Some pretty cars there, but i wouldnt trade any for my camaro <3 haha...unless it was like a superbird or something.

I've always been a Mopar fan, just can't afford one. I'd drop my TA in a heartbeat if I could get ahold of a 71 Cuda.

They sell those thru J.C.Whitney for $19.95 each. It is genuine CHROME PLATED PLASTIC and bolt on to the sides with sheet metal screws. Of course they are not real side pipes, but all the guys that buy that crap get wet unddies just looking at them!

Looks like pure 100% unadulterated dog****. I'm not "JLS MCH" at all.

It also looks like they spent the cash for real hooker sidemount headers in chrome and cut them down. I would bet that they are not functional as

A) that ain't legal and it is basically showing every officer that you do not have cats on a post 1975 vehicle. It's got Virginia plates and they care in that state
B) they did not turn blue as the chrome sidemounts tend to do after a short time
C) installing sidemounts on an old car with no extra crap under the hood is a colossal pain- I can't imagine that they could fit the 4 pipes under each side in a modern car

If you touched them then they were probably hot from the sun. If they were hot from use you would not be typing to us right now. That is speaking from experience.

Cobra's and vette's are the only two that can really pull off the side pipe look. Maybe if they were black?

Car is too Queen Mary for that. It would need 5" pipes and would look like a giant Muscle Machine.
