How did this weekend at E-Town Enduro Race go?

I thought there were two or maybe three teams from this board alone? I can't find results at E-town's site or anywhere for that matter? Did the event even run?

Chris

there were no others, it was just me. since i had almost no help in building the car, i had zero test time. didnt find out the trans was blown until it hit the track for the first time. took 5 practice laps, packed up and went home.

That sucks Rob....were there a pretty decent number of other competitors at the race?

That blows chunks

Look at the bright side, now you have a perfect reason to swap in the T5?

the $500 rule was obviously tossed out. there were only about 8 actual enduro cars. the rest were circle track, since for whatever reason thats the only group he marketed the race to. worst part of it was, i know i would have done very well had i had a working car. it handled alright, stopped well. but the other drivers didnt know how to run a road course. didnt know how to brake, turn, etc. plus i have at least 100 laps on the course and know the track. even being down on power to some of them, i would have wiped the floor with 95% of the cars there.

So I guess nobody got claimed for $500? Start buying people's cars for $500 and that will squash the whole bringing your old used up roundy round car......Why have rules then throw them out the window come race day? Did anybody protest any of these cars?

i talked to chris about it. since there were only 10 or less actual $500 enduro cars, and 70+ circle track cars, we were outnumbered. thats where all the money was made, out of the registration from circle trackers. if it was just us enduros, he wouldnt have made enough money to make it viable. either way, if i had a working car, i would have kicked near all their asses anyway.

its not like most of them were sorted out road racers. near all of them were beat to hell POS, with barely anything more then a drivetrain, cage, and a few body panels left. some had manual steering. none of them were built to handle. stock for stock, or similarly prepared, any V8 fbody from 2,3,4th gen would walk all over them.

the all out racecars were in another class, called outlaw. different scoring, and unable to win the overall race, since they had over $5K in their motors alone, while others were beaters or enduros. either way, the car is being built right this time, and its war next time.
