th350 just doesnt feel right opinions

Ok so i got a th350 rebuilt about 500 miles ago, its married to a gmp 350 crate motor.

First off first gear low rpm trans wines pretty loudly

Second hard acceleration from first to secons shifts around 4900rpms sounds liking metal binding just when it shifts by lait shaft

Third 75% of the time when i put the car from park to reverse or drive trans bangs pretty damn hard where if my foot wasnt on the break car would shot forward or back

Fourth say im cruising at 2500 rpms in third gear and downshift to second punch it and manual shift back into third sounds like a binding noise by the flywheel

Lastly at normal driving behavior ( something i reallg should do more of) car bangs into gear and this is shifting at low rpm say around 2600rpm. You can feel it seeing it jerks u pretty hard

Thank you for you time, any advise or opinions are welcome

I am pretty sure TH350s use a kickdown cable and not a TV cable...

Who installed the transmission? What converter is in it? If it's the old one, was it flushed?

^^correct. Who installed it?

#3 sounds like the shifter cable is misadjusted.

kickdown adjustment is at the top at the carb. also pull the dust cover off and check all the bolts are tight.

also, it's an automatic. if you are cruising and nail the gas it should down shift for you. stop messing around with the shifter.

Was it a stock rebuild?
