TH400 converter company?

Anybody have a suggestion for a converter brand or builder (have a stock converter) for a TH400?
350 bored .040" with a 3.75" stroke (385?), 242/248 duration .540"/.562" lift, trickflow super 23 195cc heads. Motor is set up for a 100-150 shot but it will rarely see any nitrous. 4.10's, 3,200lbs, 26.5" tall tires. Car has a reverse manual valve body and trans brake.

Obviously needs anti-ballooning plates and probably in the area of a 3000-3,500 stall. Are TCI Street Fighter converters any good?

Is their not anything I can get that won't cost me a thousand bucks? This is mainly a street car with limited mileage being put on it each year. If I can spend $600ish or less and not be that .005 of a second faster I am fine with that.

I did contact Lenny just now to see what he says.

You can order something from Jegs or Summit that is reasonable, I would just recommend you talk to someone who knows converters so you get as close as you can to what you need with an off the shelf converter. They do make a huge difference and you dont really want to guess when spending hundreds of dollars. My $.02

Call Lane @ PTC, never done me wrong.

I would say a billet cover on the fact that your going to put nitrous to it.

Thumbs up

I would never buy an off the shelf converter again for an auto equipped hot rod. Not that there aren't good quality ones available, but having one made up for your specific combo now-a-days isn't a big deal, and it really won't cost you much more than a "generic" one.
