Be careful if your car's been painted. They likely did not remove the moldings, paint under them, then paint the moldings, then reapply. So, the color underneath may be noticeably different than what's on top of it. You may also feel a ridge from the clear-coat as well.

Heat gun and just pull backwards at an angle. Clean with Goo-Off or something. WD-40 helps in the removal and supposedly doesn't harm the paint. Make sure to wash afterwards.

It's the first thing I did. I am debadged as well and everyone asks me if it's a firebird, formula or ta. I used a blow dryer and fishing line and then cleaned it up with 3m adhesive remover and a clay bar. Looks amazing.

I did it and regret it everyday. My car was either repainted or the adhesive took clear with it. Looks like crap, wet sanding made it worse. If youre going to do it be careful and take one of the small moldings off first, if it appears to remove the clear coat or that the car has been repainted put it back on. I made the mistake of mangling my moldings in the process of taking them off so now the side of my car looks like ****.

I love the clean look it gives you. I have debadged & demoulded (is that a word?) every car that I have owned. My current car is the first time that i regreted doing it. It was repainted at some point and the cheap SOB that had it done didnt pay to do it right.

I removed the moldings on my Silverado and it turns out the passenger door was repainted at some time so it doesn't quite match up. So check your paint in every light possible to make sure it hasn't been repainted at all. If it hasn't, then you should be fine.

Definitely do it if it hasn't been repainted. Like everyone else said, it cleans the car up nicely and makes it smoother. I did mine after having the car only a couple months.

Mine came off clean all in one piece. I sprayed WD40 and Goo Gone around the edges and waited a few minutes. The fishing line technique didn't work for me though, the line kept breaking. Instead I used a rubbery plastic paint spatula thing to scrape it off. It didn't scratch the paint. Then soaked any remaining adhesive with goo gone and scraped it off. I did mine over the summer though so everything was pretty pliable. I read some people used a hair dryer to help.

It really depends. You have an lt1 car with the ls front end so the parts have had to be painted to match the car. If that's the case they may have had the whole car resprayed. If the body parts were different colors they may have blended the doors to make sure the color matched.

or you could pop the hood and look along the fender line and look for tape marks. another definate sign is to look by the windows molding on the top of the doors. Most people dont take them off for some reason..

Yes. And it could not match from sun-fading. Won't know for sure until you pull it.

Just do it.
