Say goodbye to leaving the line sideways with UMI’s rear drag bar set-up. Our rear drag bar is designed to get your vehicle leaving the line straight, eliminate torque steer and drastically improve 60-foot times as well as consistency. Our rear drag bar is manufactured from 1.250" solid 4140 Chrome Moly steel, heat treated and formed as one piece to insure maximum strength and performance. The included adjustable end links allow vehicle pre-load to be set for straight launches. Our end links feature heavy duty chrome moly rod ends which feature a hard chrome plating and a Teflon self lubricating race. The end links attach to the drag bar using 5/8” grade 8 bolts and lock nuts. The heavy duty rear drag bar attaches to the axle tubes using high strength 4140 chrome moly u-bolts, 3/16” thick fabricated mounts and Energy Suspension bushings. The fabricated bushing mounts feature CNC machined teeth to prevent sliding on the axle. Also Unlike our competitors design our sway bar mounts also feature gussets welded on each end to prevent the brackets from spreading while tightening.

Installation: This is kit is a bolt in design and bolts to existing factory mounting holes. Although the kit is 100% bolt in we recommend welding the brackets to the frame with the axle tubes being optional. This allows the user to install the product and drive it to a shop for the small amount of welding. Kit includes all hardware needed for this 2-hour installation.

Features:

* 1.250” solid 4140 chrome moly anti-roll bar
* Heavy duty 5/8” chrome moly spherical rod ends with Teflon race
* High strength 4140 chrome moly zinc-plated steel 7/16” u-bolts
* CNC machined sway bar mounts with grip teeth and gussets
* Hex billet aluminum adjuster
* Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings
* Durable long lasting powder coat

Axle Tube Diameters:

* Strange Engineering and Currie rear ends use 3” diameter axle tubes
* Moser Engineering 12-bolt rear ends use 3” diameter axle tubes
* Moser Engineering 9” rear ends manufactured after early 2002 use 3” axle tubes. Rear ends manufactured prior to early 2002 use 3.25” axle tubes. Please verify diameter before ordering.
* Other brand rear ends will vary, please check your axle tube diameter before ordering.

Application:
1982-2002 Camaro/Firebird
All Models – Stock Axle Tubes

That price is before shipping and it ends at the end of the week.
My prices are the best I can do based off of the prices they gave me.
the $300.00 is shipped to you only if I get 20 orders in.

Are retrofit kits made for the bar, guessing the U clamps are in question, for aftermarket rears?

If so, Please put me down for a red one.

well mike is right... they sell the hardware (u-bolts) seperately... for $80... but you can buy the bar for you application with the u-bolts you need without having to get a secondary hardware kit from them... all the bars with the different u-bolts are the same price.... so if i bought this for $300 and then the bolt kit for $80... that puts me at the $380 that the bar retails for anyway... and i can just get it when ever... if you can get applicaton specific bars im IN 100%... ill send full payment next week... on their website they offer 3 bars... 1. stock rear 2. 3in axel tubes 3. 3.25in axel tubes... i think i need the 3 inch tubes for a strange 12 bolt.... so let us know... thanks! hey did you get my PM

Looks just like the BMR sway bar but with a better price, sounds like a good deal. I have the Sphon drag sway bar which is only a few bucks cheaper than the BMR. Had a deal like this come up when I bought my bar, I would have gone with the UMI bar.

For those of you who wonder about driving on the street with a drag sway bar, Its not that bad if you dont mind alittle nosie. The rod ends do make some noise over bumps. The only other thing you have to watch for is oversteer. The car will oversteer in corners more easily. As long as you dont drive like an a**hole you wont really notice it on the street.

it wouldn't handle that well, being a large bar. They did mention that they are working on a street version with multiple mounting locations for added adjustment for those people who like the twisties

Are there any really noticeable differences just cruising at highway speeds?

On the highway, you wont even know its back there. I can only hear mine when I go over shallow bumps (rod ends). Other than that the car drives just fine with the drag sway bar.
