anyone read the new HOT ROD?

Page 29 (not 69 oops).....and i quote/paraphase....

"GM performance will be offering a hot new GEN III/IV engine parts that are affordable........L92 cyl. head (off new tahoe) PN 2582713 for $375 each fully assembled and they flow 330cfm"

I tried GMpartsdirect and the part number got bounced....

anyone confirm or deny this....seems way toooo good to be true....

they would bolt up to a stock ls1, right?

Chris

Just because they are bigger CFM head's doesnt mean they are going to give you alot of power..
Lesson for you to learn i have a set of LS-6 Head's that aren't going on my car instead i am opting for 5.3 Heads because they will make more power with my set-up

I'm not saying everyone should run out and slap a set on....but if you are doing a H/C upgrade, it's another option.....and everyone's combo is different, so yeah you should do your homework (part of which is exploring all options).

what's the $$ on the ls6 heads and what if anywork is done to them? I got a friend looking to upgrade...

L92 heads is of the brand new 6.2 liter V8 that is found in the new GMT-900 trucks GMC Yukon Denali and Caddy Escalade.
The L92 head is close to the LS7's head design, minus the CNC porting and fancy valvetrain.
The L92 makes 403 hp in truck version, look for a 6.2 performance engine to be in the top of the line Camaro and base engine for the Vette, possible late C6, or intro ont he C7.

Dumb question, but are these aluminum like the Fbody, Vette and GTO heads?
