Track Rental 4/11 or 4/18

TTPMatt said he is interested in putting together a track rental at Island on one of these two days. We would need at least 12 cars for it to be worthwhile for everyone, obviously the more cars, the less it will be for everyone

The following is for up to 12 cars:

1 Lane: $1500
2 Lanes: $2000

$50/car after the first 12, up to 20 cars.

Prep:

Both lanes, full 1/4 - $1200
Full Single lane - $600
1/8 mile single lane - $300

So if we got 20 cars, 2 lanes, each lane half prepped, it would be $3000, or 150/car.

20 cars, 1 lane, half prepped would be $2200, or $110/car.

Over 2 hour drive to Island is a bit out of the way, so I'm out.

please keep the thread to who would be interested so not to clutter it. Don't need any or smileys from the people who think its too far to drive or aren't racing this year anyhow.

Atco's price is nearly double. This is much better bang for the buck, even with travel expenses.

I may be interested. I would just need to know the exact date so I can make sure I can get off work. I'll check both days when I go in on Monday though.

track rental i'm in

i am up for it on either day. just have to know the final details and who to send the money to. i posted a rental inquiry on island website forum and it seemed to have some interest. should be able to get enough people to keep the cost down.

This Saturday I'm driving 2 hours to race at Atco. Then on Sunday a 2 hours drive to race at Raceway Park. A two hour drive ain't that far. A track rental is great to get as many runs in as you want. The place will bacically be your private racetrack for the day.

I was just talking to a few friends this morning on giving a bracket racing clinic. Would we be able to run 2 cars with dial-in's (able to practice top end racing) and would we be able to run on a Sportsman 500 and a Pro 500 tree?
Thanks, Jim

Yeah I've been to a rental before so I do like having the track to yourself. I drive 13 hours one way to go home each year(to IL) so it's not bad in the vette at all, but for the T/A on bigs/lils it's a different story. If I had a support crew then maybe hahaha

But the slicks and skinnies in the car and street meats on the car for the drive up. You won't have any worries about someone walking away with your street tires at Island on a rental day.

I wouldn't be able to go if I wanted to since I start advance before then.

Please remove me from the list. I never stated that I was going. I'm still in the process of setting up a bracket racing clinic with some friends. We will most likely do the clinic on a test an tune day yet to be determined.

ha. i know.. i work there

ok.. I'm gonna open this rental up to other forums as well to try to get the full 20 people and thus, best price. the problem is that there's a lot of question marks here, and i need definites. I can PROBABLY get the deposit waived, but i will definitely need money from people BEFORE the rental day to ensure no one backs out and leaves the rest to foot the bill.

I think, to give everyone the most time to get their stuff together, we should do it 4/18, OR even later, since TTPMatt still hasn't gotten back to me, and I only picked those days because thats what he wanted.

Need some input here guys, I don't mind throwing it together, but I can't just wing $3000.
