Dual 10" sub box with DLS Subs
Just pulled the system out of my Acura TL-S before it was sold - selling the sub box as it won't fit in the GTA and hopefully someone else can enjoy it.
First of all, it weighs about 55lbs and won't fit into the hatch of a 3rd or 4th gen; but will fit in the trunk of any other generation or other type of vehicle.
Second, the subs: a pair of DLS Reference MW10 subwoofers. The subs are more than equal to JL 10W3s and feature more power handling and a larger magnet. Specs: 4 ohms, 600w max, 25hz-2khz, 89db sensitivity, 3" voice coils, 100oz magnet, magnesium cone, 14.8lbs per sub net weight. These same subs won the European sound championships 3 years in a row, they are one step down from their best subwoofers. Retail was $275 each.
Third, the box: dual 10" sealed box with 1.25cu ft per side stuffed with polyfil. Box measures 13" high, 24" wide, 16" deep. It includes the proper DLS grill covers also.
Had this hooked up to a DLS 3 channel giving 500w continuous at 2 ohms - super tight, dead flat response from 25 to 80 (crossover) and integrated perfectly with the other speakers. In the TL, you could play anything from jazz to electronica to rock and the subs sounded right, not heavy like a big 12" or 15" would.
$250 OBO.
Pictures available.
Located in Hillsborough - but can bring to upcoming meets easily.
