Plumber looking for side work/barter?

We're having some problems at my house with the drains..we've got some old copper 1 1/2 drain pipes put in probably in the 1960s..in some spots where it rotted out i replaced it with 2" pvc and the rubber boots..every year it gets worse and worse and the tub wont drain right..and I think its just time to replace it with 3" pvc. its not a long run of pipe that needs replacement.

hoping for someone who is a professional in regards to craftsmanship.

if possible in return i can offer my services as an electrician. i have about 10 years experience in commercial and residential work. otherwise hopefully we can work out a good price

3" is enormous for a drain. you usually have 3 or 4 for a main that all the other drains tie into. how much needs to be replaced, approx, in feet. are there many turns? i can take a look at it and at least let you know what needs to be done.

hm ok. well whatever size. 2". 2.5". I'm not sure what the code even is.

its about a 12' section.

6 foot to a Y used as a cleanout and then 6 foot to the main going out. At least that seems like the section that will not drain.

Along the way it picks up the tub, the sink and I think the toilet right as its going down the wall.

It doesnt pick up your toilet. You my good sir just have bad drains. When you started replacing the pipe did you make sure you were pitching the drains correctly 1/4 inch pitch every foot. (**** flows downhill). You should try a plunger before you start ripping pipe out. First you just need to fill up the tube and get a good amount of water in it. Than You need to take off the faceplate for the waste and overflow. Take out the stopper if you have one. Than take a rag and jam it in the waste and overflow to clog it. Than take the plunger remember a good plunge isn't about going down its about the force going up. If that doesn't work your going to need someone to run a handheld power snake through the pipe.

Have you ever seen old copper pipe when it rots out? From water sitting in the bottom of the pipe and it literally crumbles when you breathe on it the wrong way? Thats what it started doing. I dont think a plunger would fix anything..ive had all the traps wide open and a blowbag/snake in there... The pipes in this house were done in the 1960s..and from messing with it they probably arent pitched properly..but at this point I just want someone who knows what they are doing to fix it
