Question Wheels and Tires????

I have an 1986 Trans Am with Rear disc brakes....whats the widest combo for the rear rim and tire....I wanna something wide and tall to hook with....I was think about keeping my 16 in. rims and just getting another set of rears....so lemme know....also what the bolt pattern and back spacing on the rear disc in a 3rd gen?

Bolt pattern is 5 x 4.75" IIRC, the bs on an 8" wheel is 5.5", but I could be wrong there.

Would these wheels and tires be for track only? What are you looking to spend?

You could get a set of rear drag wheels (Welds, Bogarts, etc) in a 15x8, and then you could run lots of different tires. Depending on how much power and the rest of your setup, you should be able to hook the car on a decent sized drag radial pretty easily.
