Any loss of traction with lowering springs??

A friend of mine has a 99 Camaro SS. He's tired of it looking like a "4x4" lol, and was thinking of buying some eibach lowering springs. The question is- will he lose any traction with those springs? and should he use the LCA relocation brackets?

What kind of traction is he worried about? Lowering the car opens a whole can of worms.

relocation brackets, adjustable panhard bar, shocks.

Lowering the car the right way will improve road handling, but running a drag race will suffer. All depends what you want the car to do.

I have the 4x4 look and it works great for drag racing as the weight is transfered to the rear to absorb.

Depending on the power level straight line traction will suffer. Lowering the rear ride height changes the instant center of the suspension. I would definetly put LCA relocation brackets on the car. You want the LCA mounting point on the rear to be lower than the mounting point on the body.

Well, he could lower the front a bit and throw a stiff set of springs in the back. If I was told correctly, when he gets on it the rear won't drag as much and the transfer of power is much cleaner.

Am I the only one who noticed an awesome straight line difference when I put my BMR lowering springs and PHB on? The take off is AMAZING.
