headlights
i want to replace/upgrade them... maybe the fog lights as well. Im not sure which way to go on this as ive never done anything but get oem replacers at pep boys or w/e.... its '96 , so if any of yall have suggestions .. lemme hear em!

you can either get stock replacement halogen sealed beams...or convert it to HIDs by buying housings/ignitors/bulbs/etc...and even then it wont be that great cause they wont be projectors

u gotta take the stock bulb apart from the housing, then u glue a 9006 in its place. its real simple i just did one the other day. the stock ones come apart easy

HID or Halogen
after soem drunken googling, i am more confused do i want HId's or halgen... I want to replace High beams/low beams and the frog/driving lights. im gonna buy new housings or w/e caus ethe one son my car are factory ... believe it or not. 88k miles later still going strong. Do I want luminics, PIAA? I found PIAA amber halogen 9006's for like $40 i may get for fog lights... i dunno need more info

This is the highest mileage vehicle ive ever owned let alone f body... my last 2 maro's were 50k and 25k

The best thing you can do is to try to polish the current lights to remove any scratches/discoloration that might be on them, and then remove the original bulbs (carefully), and replace them with halogens.
If you try to do an HID retrofit you'll need all the stuff in an HID kit, plus a projector housing for each light. Otherwise the light won't have the proper cutoff, and you will be wasting light output, and blinding oncoming drivers.

as for polishing like Justin said, try some rubbing compound on a rag, or buffer if you have one..works like magic.
