Umm, first off, why would you want to put 305 heads on an LT1? They would choke it badly.

Second off, no - Gen I sbc heads won't work on an LT1.

Centerbolt 5.0L heads are still 305 heads...and they will still choke a well running 350ci LT1. And they still won't fit, due to them being Gen I heads.

Everyone just ignore his thoughts, when I was his age I was liek that, thinking of so many ways to do something, but just liek him, i had nbo money, and no knowledge at what is at hand to do to something, like your better off jjust buying a Z28, then wasting all that money on reconfiguring it to a 5.7

but if i just baught a z28 it would be easy...and i wouldn't be my car...and by the way...the v6 top swap will cost just as much and be just as hard...and the pcm is untunable so the z28 pcm is just a swap in

Oh, but who was the one going, everyones got V8's, id rather have a V6 cause its more of a challenge? and no, it wont cost as much, what your looking to do to itis stupid, its like buying a brand nw standard subaru, then buying an STI engine for it, itll cost you stupid time and money when you could of just bought the STI. but it should only cost you half as much as to what you have to do to your car to enable it to handle the 5.7. top swap would incluse a rebuild of the enigne, heads, a cam, and intake, plusa few weaks, which shouldd come out to about 1200, as to where the V8 should come out to 2800 even if you buy used.

Seriously you can pick up a used LS1 z28 for around 9K, and an LT1 z28 for even cheaper.

Wow....my '91 Lumina with the 3.1 runs 17.4s. Sounds like some definite issues.
