Theres a Camaro not too far from me for sale that has a 91-92 grafix kit around it, but just the body kit, notthe hood, back hatch, nothing, its actually a 1985, looks sharp

iv been searching around craigslist and iv finally made my decision. Next whip will be a 4th gen v6 5 speed, maybe a bird. Perfect dd car, great looks and decent gas mileage compared to my car now. and a whole heck of alot cheaper than the v8's.

yeah, go for a leather interior. and a 3.8L. they are pretty good cars if you want an fbody dd, but there are better choices. and don't plan on swapping in a v8 into it, ever. way more than an engine swap.

looks like a solid foundation, but it needs work. Good luck with it.

Thanks nuttyprofessor, I just picked up a twin turbo 2 inch cowl hood tonight!! Bolt on to factory hardware and all. Primered with new hood pins, looks pretty good. I also picked up a new front bumper with chin spoiler from a 92 z-28 the other day which i have to put on by this weekend. Ill post picks tom when its sunny out of at least the hood on the car. I really need a 750 hooly double pump carb now tho any one got one or know of where i can find one?

i'd rather have the 5spd 4 banger civic than a v6 fbody as a daily...

and no i dont think you need that big of a carb on a mostly stock motor

Ho do you propose i fix my running lean problem? Iv read all over TGO that a 650 is a good upgrade for a 305, but for even a mildly built 350 you need at least a 700-750 carb.

Your lean condition is caused by not enough fuel being present....the carb numbers you are referring to (650, 700, 750) are the cfm ratings - meaning how many cubic feet or air can move through them per minute. Increasing the CFM without adding more fuel will only make your lean condition worse.

Tune the carb you have, after you fix the exhaust.

Justin would the new fuel pump help feed more fuel to the carb? Could it be the fuel line that was bent from brake line from the current stock pump to the carb, it is kinda kinked in one spot alot too.
Exhaust is def coming by next week im waiting on a member for the y pipe and another member on sunday for the cat back

im sure ill be getting mixed reactions on the hood but thanks man, when are we gonna cruise around and go to some meets? And needless to say the new fuel pump will be outfitted with new fuel lines to the carb regardless if that kinked line is the problem.

Yes, the kinked line could most definitely hurt fuel delivery.

Once your new exhaust, fuel line, and pump are on, then see where you are at and tune the carb from there.

How do you personally like it. Its different but its cool to me. Mine has holes cutout in the snorkel areas i guess intended to be used as a functioning ram air type hood?

And thanks Justin ill def be taking your advice and hopefully well see some kind of power come out of this motor sometime soon. When that happens ill be ready to get a bigger cam and some aluminum heads!
