A few companies make them for 4th gens, but AFAIK no one makes one for a third gen. It would have to be custom made

FasterThanYou has a custom setup like you're talking about I believe. Good luck getting in touch with him though. Just measure up the dimensions and fab something up.

that space has is huge, it would be easy to make up something that fit there. i would suggest looking into a way to make sure the plastics are held secure or have something on them to prevent rattles. thirdgen interiors do not fit together very tight and i would think moving all that air around behind them would lead to many unwanted noises.

good luck with it!

I guess that would work, But what do I do with the plastics? I want it to go in the "glove box" side. so I can bring my spare if I need it.

Your plastics would have to be modified if you were gonna build a box like that.

I think you would be better off getting a pair of subs that are designed to work well in open air, and mount them on a plate that goes over your well. Easy to build, easy to move out of the way if you want to store anything in there.

i agree to say away from the one in the "glove box" but id stay away from plates too...

a plate is good if you just want the boom factor, but the bass is all over the place in every range

if you get a sealed box, you lose space under it but you have good sounding bass, its all a matter of personal preference
