For those who say it Can't Be Done.....

Oil pump removed from Ls1 in a Fbody without removing oil pan or dropping pan down
Yes..........I have some tricks up my sleeve!!!

Rag to keep it from fallin in pan
Loosen it with 10mm S-wrench
Fingers like sausages....
so skinny angle needle nose pliers to take it out the last couple threads.

Took engine out the bottom though, so any time saved was taken up by that, shoulda gone out the top!

Fully welded header/y/cats and they needed to be re-coated. So out the bottom was defintly the easier route.

No sawzall needed

Oil pump out in 5min.. vrs. taking oil pan off, cleaning it & new gasket n such.

Wish I was working on a Lt1......
