It was cold as heck out there tonight. There was alot of ricers out. Did anybody see that gray EVO that kept popping all the way down the track.
That freaking car ran a 10.24 at 140 something. I took some pics and vids i'll
try and post them. Im having problems with the size.

yea, cold is what kept me away from going. That and I can't run my car really.

no......Didn't even make it out...ran into HUGE issues with my project today I went to put in my 3.42s that blacdout96 gave me BUT they were 3.08 ring gear and 3.42 pinion...so I'm putting my spare 2.73 back together and trying to get another posi set

I think there 5 maybe 6 fbodies? I got five runs and got there at 7:30, almost hot lapping....

His best last night was a 9.70 or soemthin like that. we were talking to him for awhile, freakin things a beast and he was running low on n2o bottle preassure on that run too !

"Learning as you go" I hope you learned something here- you couldve hit 14s just because the DA was better. instead, you thought you were going to change the ring and pinion out in 20 mins without the proper tools and without an installation kit...

I was going to swap in a 3.23 rear I got for $100 but when I took the housing off the change the fluid and inspect the gears. I noticed it was a 2.73. I could have swapped the rear in 20min cause I was planing on it being a 3.23. So then I go to swap the gears out and I was giving a ring and pinion that don't match nor where they posi. So now i had to go get my 4th gen posi rear and by the time I got that loaded up it was 6:30. so there was no way I was gonna get that done in the dark and make it there...I'll just wait till i get my DRs and go next season.

You were at least prepared with shims, and a indicator and base to set for proper pinion depth and preload I hope. Then ready to set the proper backlash. 
Are you spinning at the line at all. If not, then I wouldn't spend the money on tires just yet until you need them.
