lifted truck guys
ok so i was hearing this noise on my truck before i got it lifted but now is worse (squeeking noise at low speed in both drive and reverse) but since the lift there is a decent vibration. the pinion angle isnt perfect but its close enough to where it shouldnt matter. could this just be caused by worn out u joints? i havent had the truck long so i dont know the last time they were changed out.(the vibration and noise is from 0 - 35 or so and when slowing down)

When I lifted my Silvy, I didn't pay attention and put the rear blocks in backwards (high side supposed to be towards the front) and had a bad vibration on acceleration.
I would try the u joints first. They arent expensive and if it doesnt fix it you have new u joints in it anyways.

yea they are like 18 each. so im going to do them all. i want to say that that is whats wrong. when your start out driving you get a squeeking noise and the vibration starts. it was squeeking before i got the lift put on and i think once the suspension was all different that it didnt like it to much lol.

If you plan on actually taking this thing off highway a fair amount, you should get greaseable u-joints (fitting in one of the caps, not the body). It will make them slightly weaker, but will give you the ability to stick fresh grease in them after you've been in the water / mud.

yeah change u joints, then go from there, a bad driveshaft is possible, but start with the simpler stuff first. my 82 bronco had so many vibrations and issues i never tracked em down, sold the truck soon after. it had a 8" lift on 40's... lol

You can look over the driveshafts carefully to see if there are any shiny spots....the front driveshaft on my Jeep lost a weight last month, and it vibrated like crazy. Drove it to work and back like that one day, then pulled the front driveshaft.
