My DD 1997 S10

I thought I would post a picture of my S10 4X4 Vortec 4.3 5 speed.
My brother bought this truck new in 1997 from Westwood Chevy. He used it everyday until 2004 when he bought his 2500 Silverado so the truck sat in his driveway only driven once in a while and then it developed a rod knock around 157,000 miles. After a year of sitting he gave it to me and I had a new crate motor installed. I have owned it for 2.5 years now and it has 178,000 on the body/drivetrain except for the motor. The only thing I did to the paint was buff it, this is the original paint from 1997. It has some mods done to it; a Mufflex 3" catback w/ dual 2.5" out w/ 3.5" tips, a K&N cold air kit, 98-03 outside mirrors, a 2003 black cloth 60/40 bench seat and recently NOS Chevy alunimum wheels and center caps. just wondering what you guys think. Thanks Jason

I was looking into getting one. I would like to get a cowl induction hood and paint the grill the body color, replace the gold bowtie with the black one I have and smoke the front signals in the bumper. I have a Lund moonviser for it already painted, but my friend dislikes them and he says it would "not look good."

LOL....I was wondering how you were going to get the wing home in the Vette. It's great having a truck, you can haul anything you need for home or car. I saw you liked my blue 1991 Z28 in the members ride section, thanks for the compliment. If it is nice this weekend I will take pictures of my project car and post them.

I can not believe I recieved more compliments on my truck on a Camaro forum than the S10 forum I posted a picture on. I just wanted to say thanks for the compliments to everyone.

Car guys know when something is taken care of regardless of make/model. Whether is an '86 omni ghl or 1991 zr-1. I personally thought i had a small block in it when i pulled up, subtle duals and whatnot.

Thats because 80% of them are obsessed with dragging their truck on pavement

One of my friends thought it had a 350 swap when he first heard it start.

Pics of my fathers s15 which i took over and got redone. Learned how to drive stick on this thing when i was 14...2.5l/5spd...2/3 drop (2wd)...bought for $7200 new and got 229k out of it on 1 pair of brakes, clutch lasted to 180k..value cover never even off..was the best vehicle we've ever owned. Miss that thing as i sold it to a 75year old woman who then sold it to a young kid that beat the hell outta it..common story.

Nice little truck, if its your daily, just leave it alone and drive it. Spend money elsewhere...
