LT1 LT4 Fuel Rails

I installed a set of AFR heads which are LT4 based. My stock LT1 intake manifold was not wide enough so I had to buy an LT4 based intake manifold. The only way I was able to get my stock fuel rails (93 with crossover in the rear) to fit was to put a thinner o-ring on each of the rear crossover pipes.

I am assuming there are some AN adapters and a steel braided line set-up somewhere but does anyone have a first hand take on this.

I would only do the adapter set-up assuming a got a hold of a Vette LT4 fuel rail.

Thanks, Gio

i just ordered $150 worth of fuel line stuff for my lt1 tonight... braided line and all the fittings... they make an type factory fitting adaptors... they are like $15 a peice tho... you need two of each.... 2 for pressure and 2 for return... i opted to get one big length of braided line and got 4 -6an fittings so i can make my own lengths... the -6an fittings will fit onto the stock style fittings and there ya go.... stock rail braided lines...

so, you are running your stock LT1 fuel rail on an LT4 manifold? is that basically why you had to do what you did?

noooooo.... im running lt1 intake.... im doing this soi can relocate the fuel lines to clean up the engine bay... i dont think your having trouble with yours becuase its an lt1... your having trouble because the 93 fuel rail and intake is different from 94+.... what intake are you running stock GM lt4 or edlebrock lt4.... i think either way youll need a newer style fuel rail... can you take pictures so we can see what your working with a little better...

i am thinking the same with needing a 94+ fuel rail. i'm sure you could run a couple fittings and braided line in place of the rear crossover but i am not positive on it.

right...im running the 93 style fuel rails - i should get the rails that crossover in the front b/c the edelbr. manifold has the recess for the rails in the front.....what i did was in the rear of my current rail, the 2 small lines that connect the left and right rails...i had to put a thinner o-ring in there b/c otherwise the rails are too wide and will not bolt to the intake manifold......

yea... im not sure how the fuel lines connect on the 93's... but you should be good if you get a 94+ fuel rail.... if need be and your fuel lines dont match up... i can give you soe part numbers for a do it your self s/s braided set up that i just got in from summit today... but it was pricey that way...and if you run the lines in stock location you would probably need an extra 3 feet per line than i got... which is not a problem... just more money.... can you take a picture of your fuel lines.... see what ya got? and their location

well you might be ok with the fuel line location.... and may not need the new hoses.. unless you want them...

well my plastic lines attach on the driver side towards the front of the intake manifold so with the 94+ rails, it looks like i would need at least a foot of line and 4 adapters.....

yea youll probably end up having to run 94+ fuel lines or switch to braided line... i have an almost brand new set of used fuel lines from my car (replaced last year).... i need the evap line but you can have the pressure and return line... i have no real need for htem.... for like $20... 94+ hook up on the driver side behind the intake.... how far away are you from the shore points.... im in brick..

gotcha - ok i will let you know for sure - my bro. lives off exit 117 so if i shoot down there i will let you know.....im kinda disgusted with the whole car at the moment so i need a minute to reevaluate things...but i will probably take the lines just in case - but i will probably just try and get the correct fuel rails and get some adapters and braided line to hook it up
