Installing amp rack in bird???

Ok so I am looking at a write up for installing an amp rack and i must be retarded or something cause i dont fully get it. lol I mean, all I have is an amp rack (from subthump) and if I need more hardware how come i have to go out and buy it and it didnt have it all together?

Now i dont want to put any holes in the car, so I am guessing I have to basically stick blocks of wood to the car (taillight wing nuts) and basically screw my amp rack into it so its screwed into the wood blocks instead of the metal but what I dont get is, how the heck do ya screw it in there? I mean are you supposed to go through the amp rack itself (wont that look messy?)

I bought that amp rack over a year ago and never installed it... so last night I ordered some more cables so I can tuck more away and get a nice clean install. Right now my amp is sitting in the t top rack. eeek.

If anyone else has a write up, please let me know.
