I'm sure there a a few who will appreciate this
"From the moment we are born our bodies are in a constant state of decay. That's right we're all like Ford Escorts just falling apart"--Adam Ferrara
it amused me so I thought I would share.

Not that I like fords, but my last daily driver was a 97 escort and I traded it in with 130k miles still ran like a champ with nothing but regular maintenance. I hated it, but it ran good and got 30 mpg.

Actually it was a 5-speed, never came with 6-speed.
I don't know if I buy all this ford crap stuff. I think they parallel GM too much in everything but I will admit that was pretty funny.
Have you eaten a ford lately?

Not that I'm aware of. Just asked my friend who is a HUGE SHO nut, said nope, he wishs. He's on his 3rd SHO, his cousin has one and 3 of his friends own them. I've worked on SHOs for a while now, can't tell you how annoying these cars really are other than they have a 5 speed and a really nice engine. Everything else is BLAH. Front brakes are 10.2" on some years.

Hmm... nothing against Imps (good friend has a 96 too) but a.) they don't come with manual transmissions as an option b.) they are 800lbs heavier than the SHO c.) they cost at least twice as much as an SHO
The good thing about the Imp vs the SHO is it's reliability. Those SHOs just fall apart around the yamaha engine. It's kind of funny because my friend with the SHO used to talk about how unreliable my car was yet mine was drivable and affordable no matter what broke, lol.
The Imp is just such a heavy car . At least it's wide and has a v8 .
p.s. I've been in a hot cammed T56 hopped up impala... very fun car but typical GM build quality (rattle here, rattle there, rattles everywhere )

Ahh...
Its a Taurus vs an Impala...SS owns the SHO 10 times over.
No matter how much hp it has...its still FWD, and its still a Taurus.

Thanks boss. Here is a man who knows true quality. But if I ever did get owned by a Taurus SHO, I'll hook up my car on pure principal. I can't have that ****.

1) A Ford SHO
2) A old Honda Accord
3) A Loaded gun

Depends on which gun. If it was big and expensive I'd use option 3) to own the guy driving the imp. Else I'd take 1) because it's a fun car.
Let's see, imp vs SHO, stock vs stock SHO's are just as fast in the 1/4 and the 0-60 even with wrong wheel drive. I personally would rather own an imp but they aren't cheap! The SHO's can be had for as much as a used Honda Civic so which would you rather have, an SHO or a Civic, hmm....

Thats funny as ****. Again my opinion is skewed so I'll try to be fair as possible. The taurus SHO is a good economic quick sedan and I don't doubt that. What I am trying to get at is that besides the weight advantage and the available manual, I thinks the impala is a better overall car. A lot of u's care mostly about 0-60 and 1/4 mile times but in my opinion there is more to cars. Try riding in both of these cars. The last thing im gonna mention is take a look at car shows and note the prevelance of imps vs. SHO's, who grabs more of the spotlight. Even if they are faster, ill still take my car over a SHO any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Anyone who has ever rode in my car help me out here.
P.S. If anyone ever gets the chance to own a SHO please do it for the B-bodies.

to those that want am impala but don't like the price tag, just go get yourself a 9C1 caprice and change a coupla things on the body, tweak the interior, get the rear quarter window, upgrade the wheels and tires, change the badges and then get it painted. same car. cheaper.
