1970 1/2 Z-28, red with black stripes. HUGE displacement, fuel injected, solid roller cammed small block. Full tube chassis and 8 or 10 point roll cage. Liberty 5 speed, Mustang II front suspension, pro link rear suspension (adjustable 4 link). L-88 hood, front chin spoiler, tall rear spoiler. Four wheel baer brakes. 17 inch Torque thrust II's. Black interior. Thats all I got for now. The scary thing is I can actually build a car like that by myself.

My car with a paint job and not sitting on jackstands?

I'm a huge fan of 68-70 AMC Javelin's and AMX's. You don't see them too often, they're different, yet a classic muscle car. I wouldnt really be interested in making a race car out of one but rather a nice factory looking one with some engine tweeks. If I was going to build a (another?) race car it'd probably be a 2nd gen Mazda RX7 or 1970's Ford Maverick. The RX7 would have some SBC power under the hood while the Ford I'd have to stay true with SBF power. I love Fords but EVERYONE has a Mustang so I'd have to go with something weird and different like the Maverick.

If either of these cars popped up in front of me for the right price, they'd be mine. I especially want the SBC RX7

my 2 dream cars are: 1972 455 super duty trans am with close ratio 4spd, white with blue stripe, and teh 4.10 gear option. no radio, no a/c, no heat. just a brutal motor in a cool lookin and fairly light for the era.
my other dream car is a 69 yenko. i woudl have to find a no radio, no heat, no power steering oir brakes car. i want the gold with black graphics paint scheme. again, close ratio 4spd and 4.10 gears. i woudl also wan teh factory optional lift bars, delete the front sway bar(it actually was a factory option to delete it on 1st gens), and get the dealer installed option long tube headers. basically it woudl be a completely brutal and pure muscle car. no messin around, just a ton of power in a tim can

hmm...my dream car. I actually sketched one out, one time. kinda camaro-ish, but slightly bigger and a more wedge-type profile. here's the specs:

Front Engine, Rear-wheel Drive.
5.7L Supercharged V8 - 550 hp, 565 ft./lbs. of torque.
6-spd manual ONLY. no automatic.
18" front wheels, 19" rear wheels.
weighs around 3000 lbs. fully equipped.
1/4 mile in high 11 seconds, top speed is 200+.
it would also be able to pull 1g on the skidpad and do a slalom course at 75 mph.

i wish GM would make a car like that...

it is not really my "dream" car, but i have been inspired by hot rod magazines pump gas drags. i am hoping they make it into an annual event. i am going all otu in teh construction of my 83Z28. no punches are being pulled in chassis or body prep. teh car is design and built to be very light, hok very hard, and look totally bad ass.
teh first motor going into teh car is very mild, an LS1 with bolt ons, an LS6 cam, and a small turbo. teh goal is to put a big inch LS1 based turbo motor in it and run 8's on pump gas.
this is the first year with the car, it will get all of it's chassis and body prep done, next year i will save for and buy a killer motor, and in '06 i will own the pump gas drags
