Corvette C5 Wheels

I got lucky and got a set of C5 wheels and tires for free. Was going to put them on my 99 Firebird. Specs are Front = 17" x 8.5" Rear= 18" x 9.5". Should that be fine for clearance or will i have to start bending things back on a stock suspension? And if so, any ideas how?

Might need a big hammer and make some room for yourself.

He'll be fine with 9.5" rears.

You'll be fine, just slap them on and drive on off into the sunset.

if they're y2k's you might have to do a little hammering. they're not very wide but the offset(63mm) causes them to sit "in" a little further than most other wheels. mine would rub a tiny bit when making hard turns, and my rear is probably closer to centered than stock.

lots of people run 1/2" spacers in the front and 1" in the rear so they don't tuck as much, but i didn't think they looked bad just bolting them up.

They should be fine...I had 18 inch Z06 rims on my Z28, 295 tires, and they fit with no mods

Slow-V6 has them on his car, and he had to use the BFH mod lol. They look great though.

best way to find out is to put em on and check. its not really a waste of money cause plenty of people have gotten vette wheels to work without a problem. the wheels on my t/a were 11'' wide too and they fit without any hammering, but again the offset is where that comes into play.

Just a little banging was needed on my car. All I really needed was a little spacer but I thought it would be safer without the spacer. The fronts fit fine just the backs needed a little banging.

Did homeboy with the C5R finnally get new rims?
