Urethane Bushings and Squeeks.

I remember from other cars I had that urethane bushings can sometimes make a squeeking noise when they rotate in the bushing. Is this common with the urethane bushings for f-bodies?

Just wondering, because I'm looking at a set of urethane bushings for the front sway bar and I don't want noise like in my Lincoln had.

Yes. Urethane can squeak, even the polygraphite style. Make sure you use a lot of the grease they provide. I wouldn't worry too much about a sway bar creaking because it's relatively easy to service if it gets noisy. JMO.

Thanks Bill. Probably best to buy the ones with zerk fittings, or just add them myself. Have a box full of zerks somewhere.....

Yup! If you can find or make a setup with zerks, go for it.

Make sure you use a synthetic grease like super lube. At least thats what I always have seen the manufacturer recommend to use.
