How depressed is this kid going to be if/when he wakes -- to try and kill yourself and fail at that too.

What ever happened to running the car inside the garage?

i feel so sad when i read things like this. how could you be so upset with your life, that nothing is left but to kill yourself, especially in such a way that might hurt other people on the road? i don't think people realize just how much they impact other's lives when they take such extreme action. my best friend passed away this past may in an accident on rt 80, totally accidental, the poice report said he was wearing his seatbelt, doing the speed limit, etc...but for some reason, even though he was doing everything right, it was his time. just three months before his 21st birthday. it's so unfair to see someone taken so early and know how much i still hurt from it, and then think that people actually do this on purpose?? it just blows my mind.

the thing that gets me is how these kids parents feel. i watched my friends little brother die in a car accident many years ago and my uncle die of cancer when both my grand parents were still alive. noithing can describe teh pain in a parents eyes when they are burying their own child.
to think someone would intentiaonally put their parents through that is beyond stupid. it pisses me off jsut thinking about it.

What also sucks is the driver is gonna get charged with juvenile form of murder. Â*I'm guessing he'll be sure to kill himself soon to avoid that. Â*

Yeah, I have no sympathy for suicide victims, since they didnt have any for anyone else such as family and friends.

Its very selfish.

from what i understand the one that died had nothing to do with the suicide...it was the kid that survived that had the suicide note in his pocket

Before my 21 yr old cousin commited suicide 8 months ago, I would've agreed with you guys. But after he did what he did, and me, knowing what he's been through his whole life, sometimes you just can't take the pain anymore I guess. Yes, he has put his family through hell by what he has done, I'm still grieving from losing him. I'm sure he never thought about how much his family would hurt, because he was in too much pain himself. Can you imagine uncontrollable cirumstances making you just want to cry every day and your heart aching so bad? He went through so much in his life from the time he was 2 yr's old until he killed himself, that I believe that now he's in peace. Maybe he's finally happy or at least not hurting anymore. He was such a good kid, but life threw him too many curveballs that most people don't go through in 3 lifetimes, let alone 21 yrs of life. I don't believe its the "cowards way out"(some circumstances might be i guess), but it really is a last resort in some people eyes when they truly believe that nothing will ever make them smile again then they don't want to live anymore. I don't know...just my $.02

for certain instances i would agree with you, but for the "my girl of 3 months dumped me" or "my parents wont buy me a new lexus, they only gave me this 2 year old one" kids who kill themselves, let em go....i would love to have all suicide hot line calls like examples above transfered to my phone, i'd tell them to do it and hang up
