Wow, Old Bridge Friendlys and Shadybrook Cruises are no more!

I went there a lot over the years! This year there was much more issues with no parking for the A&P customers and the police came threatening to tow classics parking outside the roped off area. Another cruise night that got too big and the owners complained (like Jackson Outlets). its a shame

There will be no cruise for 2014

we have lost the use of the A&P parking lot at Ferry Rd. and rt. 9 . Thanks for all your support over the last 15 years. Classic Knights Car Club
Also heard Shadybrook farms in PA is stopping their cruise nights for similar reasons.

TO ALL CRUISE NIGHT PARTICIPANTS AND ATTENDEES:
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all the best to Bob Borden & his Cruise Night Staff. They will not be returning to Cruise Night.

Bob, Rocky, Brenda, Lou, Bobby, Craig, Fred, Sharon, Greg, Cindy, Gary, Jack, Joel, Marco, Dina, Jade, Nicki, and Lyndsay have worked for years (some from the very beginning of 2006!) every Tuesday night during “The Season,” and have decided to end their participation.

Cruise Night has grown tremendously over the last 8 years, due in large part, to Bob and his staff. We truly appreciate all they have done for Cruise Night and we wish them well!

The future of Cruise Night is undecided at this time. We are evaluating all options to manage Cruise Night. “The Cruise” has grown much larger than ever imagined; this has created some burdens for the Farm and the local community. These issues need to be addressed.

I went to the Old Bridge one a bunch of times last year. I could not believe how crowded it was every time I went. If you didn't get there way early then there would be no spots left and I saw many times the police tell people that had show cars parked outside the roped off areas to move or get towed. they should move it to the old Lowes parking lot since there is plenty of room and the store is not open anymore so no complaints.

you can't have an organized cruise might in a lot w/o permission, even a lot in a closed store. it would be considered trespassing. and organizers would not want to assume liability

Regardless of who ran it, it is a loss. It always had a great turnout.

Agreed. There was a lot of rare stuff that would come out and it was easy to get to from basically anywhere in the state.

Yeah, despite what USG says, Jackson was pretty much central to the state. There were always a lot of cool cars there. Fell in love with Citrus Green there,

I understand that wasn't suggesting that they move it there without permission. Just that it would be a good location without having the hassle to leave room for customers to park.

Good news we will be starting our 2014 cruise Saturday night May 3rd 2014. it will be at Freindlys again this year. Same time 6:00pm til9:00pm in Freindlys parking lot, not the A&P lot. There will be room for about 65 to 70 cars only. please get there early to get a spot. We will be unable to save any spots this year due to the limited amount of space. Hope to see you there on the 3rd of May. Classic Knights.
