quick ? 91 speed density

Does the ecm control the ignition in my car? Its a 1991 305 TPI speed density motor. Thanks.

WHY? what is your reason for asking, will the car not start? has passlock system(thats the chip'd key) ecm or other control module sees the resistance in the chip on your key, if correct allows to start.
common for the wires to break off in the ignition causing car to think its being stolen and disables start.

if this is your problem, reply or pm me & I can give you directions how to bypass it !

Yes, the ECM controls the ignition timing in your car.

he didn't say ignition timing, actually didn't specify what part of the ignition system of his car....
