i thought gm was trying to do away with cheap and plastic looking? it seems like its going on strong with the new camaro. thats the first thing that comes to mind. cheap and plastic.

Dash hight and seat hight are teh two biggest problems that people complained about. Sitting low with a wide and long dashboard, combined with a heavily raked windshield made it very hard to see out of.
5th gen is much different. While there are gunslit windows, its more upright seating feels better and more civilized.

Interior is better in person. While it wont look like the CTS's interior, its also a car that has to fit a target segment of 22-35k target.
Again...please wait till you see the car in person. While some of you will never change your mind, much like my opinion with teh 4th gens, its a different car in person.

It is taller, but a few inches shorter while keeping the width. The biggest change, and one that can make the car look longer, is the larger wheel base compared to the silly small 101 inch on the 4th gen. 5th gen is over a foot longer. That means a lot less overhangs.

Again, wait till you see the car in person.

ive personally seen the new camaro in person al. quit assuming i havent. its been at almost every major auto show for the last two years. its not exactly a secret.

the gto interior looks miles better than this. hell the g8 interior looks a lot nicer. while i understand that most cars are made out of plastic...i just think the interior looks too cheap. thats one of the things they said was the downfall of the 4th gen. this one looks downright rediculous.

it looks just about every bit as big as a charger and its a shame. no point if buying one of those. stock for stock theyre every bit as stout as the 4th gen was.

edit: wasnt one of the saving graces of this car to be the IRS which was supposed to upgrade handling considerably? im not impressed with the numbers on that either. .88 g's or something like that?

its just time to realize. the camaro is about 2 times too big

On a smooth surface IRS offers no increase in handling. The improvement comes when the road is less than smooth – like most public roads race courses. I would not expect greatly increased “g” measurements in a test situation.

I’m more interested in how the handling is hindered by the oversized wheels & tires as well. 20s & 21s are just too big. All that weight that far from the hub, like giant flywheels.

I don't care what any of you guys say, the 2010 Camaro is SEXY!!

I love my 4th Gen but come on, It's hard to tell the difference between a 4th Gen and a Chrysler Concorde at 50 feet. And the interiors in 4th Gens is dead ass cheap.
Again I own a 98Z and love it. But that New Camaro is miles ahead as far as Materials and styling is concerned.

So in your opinion it'd be better if you could only drive it during the day?
