Those 4.6 SOHC cars are slouches. Someone in my town has one full bolt ons and some suspension and he ran a best of 14.5 or something.

if he has a cam it will be a very good race IMO, without a cam I think you'll beat him by at least a couple of cars.

wheres the car from??? if he called u out on a race he most likely thinks or knows he can beat you.... also im sureeeeeeeee he didnt tell you everything he had done to the car lol........... and id bet money on the fact that he def. has a cam with doing all that bottom end motor work....so figure with a dr the car depending on its weight should go pretty good... i seen a stock bottom end 302 dr stang keep up with a mid 11s spray camaro on the street

I'm guessing that if they have a built 306 bottom end, Performer heads, and GT 40 intake they wouldn't bother slapping the stock cams back in there. They may not be wild, but I'd be very surprised if they were stock.
I wouldn't get cocky Jake, but you prolly got a decent shot at him....

Jake, Im with the the others here that this car may have more work done to it than we think. If they built this motor, we may be dealing with a geared, cammed, and if they are like a few people I know around here who have done the same thing, a sprayed car. By JUST those mods alone with cam gears and tires, hes probably gonna have you if he can drive. He may only have those mods (or not be modded at all) and you will definitely have him. However I think hes "forgetting" a few mods the car has. In that case, I think we need to get cracking and toss on a few mods that you "forgot" you had layin around.

Yea....on a 2.2 60'. Get it to hook and that was an easy 12 second pass.
Got any changes since then Jake?

I'd find out what cam he has. I'd say he's probably mid 12's with a decent cam.

things you can count on him having:
cam = 100% chance
good tuning = 75% chance
ported intake and heads = 50% chance
drag suspension = 100% chance
weight reduction = 100% chance
if you care to stop down some time jacob we could temporarily pull some weigh tout of the car and i will happily lend you my hoosiers. no reason to let the little mustang have a chance at running on ya.

wrong. all non cobra GT's from 96-present are single over head cam motors. the big difference is that 99 and newer ones have PI heads and are a bit quicker stock.
if its a 306, then its a .030 over 302. and since its an SN95 style stang, its either a 94 or 95.
another point to bring up is that if that motor was in a fox body, it would give jake a pretty good run, but its in a much heavier car. I'm not saying it wont be a quick car, but its gonna be a little slower than everyone thinks.
