The deal is everyone brings there camera, but we'll all try and organize combined shots.
I definitely will not forget my camera, on the highest setting I can still hold up to 500+ pictures.

I would love to get some pics at an airport on a runway, or even at light next to the taxi lights. This will take a bit of calling around though as you can't just roll out to any airport and expect them to let you do this. I think it would be a really sweet setup for pics though.
What does everyone think? Anyone know any connections with an airport?

The idea is just to find a nice local spot everyone up North can easily get to where we can park the cars, get good shots in and chill for a bit without worrying about cops, getting yelled at, etc. Something like an airport, while it would make for some cool shots, would probably require clearances and whatnot, and be too much of a hassle.

Still, I beleive it may be worth looking into. I doubt any large airports (Newark for example) would allow this. But you may find a small airport with little to no traffic might allow it. I think it would be at least worth looking into for the fact of what a great photo shot it would make, not to mention it would be a place easier to hang out at vs. a busy highway or something.

I think thats a good idea. Any objections to Lincoln Park airport? Its a pretty tiny grass roots type airport, with a decent runway and taxi area, theres also a park on one side we could all park and hang out if we had to. I wouldn't mind actually calling and asking. One of my all time car picture goals is getting in a hanger.

TransAm4Life and/or I will have some top end digital Camera's in the next month or so. I would prefer to do this in late May. At that point, the snow will be for sure long gone, and the April showers will have also been depleted. And I am bringing my Z from winter storage from Indiana in late May. Regaurdless of when it is, I will at least have my Formula to show.

Lincoln Park airport sounds like a good idea (didn't even know there was an airport there). If it's like what Alex described, then that might actually work. I'm cool with late May. We should probably have a count, or at least an estimate, of how many cars we're expecting to bring for when we call the airport.

check it out on google maps, they also have a emergency runway on the other side, maybe if they are still friendly we could work something out. Now that would be sweet.
Heres the google map image

an airport would be pretty awesome.
it'd be cool at night with all the runway lights on too I think.
it'd be even cooler to drag race down a run way too...
but thats just wishful thinking.
I just want pictures, we'll leave the racing for the track. Last thing I want is for someone to hijack this thread and start ranting about street racing or something.

That shot of the Trans Am is sweet . Okay, you guys sold me on this idea. If we can get the Lincoln Park airport to cooperate, let's do it.
BTW: Is this the airport that use to have the restaurant on it? I think I've been there before.

Yeah there used to be a restaurant there, I'm not to sure if it is though anymore. Should we scope the area first before we make any phone calls?

Caldwell is a higher traffic airport then Lincoln park. I used to fly out of Lincoln park with my dad, and we always stayed clear of Caldwell. Personally for a back-up I would use Greenwood lakes Airport down Skyline Drive. Its the airport that sits along side the old Safari lot.

Photo Shoot
I will be there. Whenever everyone figures out where it will be just let me know. I haven't been in Jersey too long so I will more than likely need directions. Also I need a little time to get the car ready as it has been sitting during my deployment. (I do have someone starting it up so it will still be driveable.)
