My '94 Jimmy is awesome in the snow. If there's one thing the S trucks are good at, it's snow driving. Just doesn't get stuck.

Same question... I used to ride my quad there years ago, then the police mandated we had insurance, eventually they put the kabash on it all together. I havent been back since because I thought that area was off limits.

you mean leave 17 and drive right off the road? 10 years ago i took my quad there a few times, long before i had a truck. we parked at sharps, and rode all around through stag hill and beyond. somewhere i remember we drove through a 5-6' culvert underneath a road to get to the other side, and eventually wound up under the throughway, where the highway is 100ft above you.

i wouldnt mind seeing how my truck does in the snow, if you want to go again.

There is also an entrance by that giant ramp that takes you to 17. That service road that takes you to the actual Sharp building ends in a small and relatively steep little trail entrance. That's where I used to enter with my Isuzu because I hate those little whoops by the other entrance closer to the hotel. My Saturn doesn't have enough ground clearance so I have to enter by the whoops now to get into the trails. There are multiple entrances. You can even enter through Hillburn by the railroad tracks!
