Talking First time doing the 1/4 mile @ Island Dragway

So, last night Nick and a bunch of other njfboa guys went to island dragway for the friday night street legal drags, and I got the balls to go.

Keeping in mind this was my first time @ any track, this was my best time:

Reaction time: .622
60': 2.184
1/8: 8.788 @ 83.89
1000': 11.294
1/4: 13.410 @ 106.8

She's stock, from the engine to the tires similar to the manufacturer's (crappy goodyear eagle f1's, if I recall correctly?)

after that I felt pretty accomplished. Next time I'd just have to lower the psi in my tires (they were @ 30, cuz I didn't know I was gonna go drag) and also have better quality tires overall

Here's the timeslip (I'm on the left, lol I was labeled 3333):

The worst I had was .742 (the first run I had when I had traction control on)

I still say I was pretty impressed for a first timer, off the street, and having driven a manual transmission for under a year.

A little bit more seat time for the 60s and 1/8 down a bit and you'll have some 13.1s, especially with a set of tires that aren't 10 years old

You should take this man up on his offer. The stock hurst aint bad, its that gay stick they put on there that's the issue.

Good run! I ran for the first time ever at nationals and ran a best of 13.7 at 103 in my SS. That was on my street tires and a clutch that's seen better days.

nicely done! my first 2 times were horrible xD first time i forgot my traction control on and second time i almost stalled (probably cuz of some brain / foot coordination fail.) then came the 13.4 and a 13.7
