RPO Code KC4

I finally got around to decoding the rpo codes on the 93 today and i came up with KC4 being a engine oil cooler?

Is that right? Im preety sure i dont have a oil cooler on my car..

Anyone know what this really is?

the engine oil cooler is right above your oil filter. Your oil filter actually screws into it and there are two antifreeze lines comming off of it. The lines will wrap around your oil pan to your passenger side, and tie in with the other antifreeze lines there.

if your car came factory with 3.23 gears then it also came with an oil cooler

In this pic, its the 2" thick black piece between the oil filter and the block.

Right i know how a cooler setup works my k5 blazer has it..but i really dont think my ta does..

Mabe its like the pic shown and the lines go under my headers and i just never noticed

I know there not hard to delete...you take two screws out and can put in a regular housing..at least on other sbc's you can..mabe a previous owner deleted it..or mabe i never paid much attention and just uncrew my old filter and screw on my new one, lol

and yeah my car has 3.23s..

thanks alot guys
