Yeah, I have seen LT5's in a few things. I belive that Tim Allen (Tool Man Tim) and John Moss, former head of GM's Performance Division, made 2 LT5 powerd Impala SS's. Tim has one, GM has the other.

Yea, I saw one at Carlisle a few years ago, complete top to bottom, with computer and wiring. $32k....that's nuts.

Yep. And replacement parts aren't as easy to come by as other motors. The only plus side is that if you want to race them, Team Lola used them in race cars until recently and you can find used race parts from them, but not cheap.

Thats the big issue, parts for the motor.. LSx motors put out as much HP if not more with little mods and tons of parts out there.

ahhh, the GM x-car.
the white camaro in the picture is an 88 or 89(i forget) that was used as a test mule by GM for a variety of engine and trans combos. i saw it at carlisle several years ago, and man is it an engineers dream. there are some lovely hacked up wiring harnesses, hammer based installation marks, and the paint on the car is absolutely horrible. lol
