2.2L prob

hey guys. i picked up a 98 cavi 2.2L 5 speed as my dd. its a great running car but just ran into a little issue that im not 100% sure on what it could be so i figured i would ask because i dont know crap about fwd cars lol.

this problem has been going on for the past few days. i only notice it when its been running for about a half hour or longer. it kind of feels like when an auto trans is kicking in and out of gear for a split second.

it only does it once and a while when im driving but it did do it back to back last thursday on my drive home.

im not throwing a cel. i did a tune up but that was over a few weeks ago and its ran fine after.

idk when the fuel filter was changed last but was planning on picking one up tomorrow along with some injection cleaner.

clutch and slave are nearly brand new on that car. I'm pretty sure the O2 sensors are fairly new also. Maybe the TPS? Take a meter and see what the voltage is at zero and WOT.

Did you have the Defrost on? Could it be the a/c clutch switching on/off? on a 4 banger it makes a noticable difference in power when the a/c clutch cycles in defrost

no defrost is only on while its warming up in the driveway. only thing i have on while driving is the heat. i was thinking it might be the tps but i thought it would of thrown a code. clutch is holding pretty well. rpms stay still when this issue happens
