exhaust question

i was talkin to jim last night from the exhaust guys and he was confusing me a lil by sayin that a 3" mangnaflow catback for an LT1 system might not fit my 3.8 01 bird, he was thinkin that i might need the LS1 system instead. i know kasey has the lt1 system but then again his car is the lt1 style of the 3.8, we were talkin about craigs car and how he said the lt1 system fit fine. just wanted to check with you guys before i ordered it.

The only difference I can think of is the early LT1 cars(93-95) had the intermediate pipe go all the way up to the cat. The 95 dual cat on up had a different dual cat y pipe that connected to the intermediate pipe further down. So the early LT1 cars had the full length intermediate with the 'S' bend. I have no idea what the V6 cars look like but that's the only difference I can think of.

Brandon, you want the 3" LT1 system, but I don't remember which year. Ask him to look up which system he sold to Craig ('02 Camaro) and get the same one.

Make sure you get the bullet on in place of the cat!

Any price I told you was without shipping, that was just pickup. It's heavy and in a huge box so that shipping quote seems pretty correct. Or, since he has to order it anyway you can just wait till mid-jan when youre back at school and pick it up and save that 50 bucks

The price of steel has been going up all year so maybe that's why.
