The weight of the sway bar will vary slightly based on which one it is, but the biggest gain you'll see from it is that it will allow more weight transfer to the rear since the sway bar limits the movement of the front suspension.

I figured you wouldn't be paying much for the LT1 cam, but most people will say it's not worth the hassle of doing a cam swap for such a small gain.

Well, just a cam isn't gonna do a tons for you anyway. You will still be held back by the stock TPI and heads.

My advice would be to actually get the car in your possession and go over it so you know exactly what you have and what kind of shape it's in.

Once you have that figured out, then you can start planning your upgrades.

do you know what your current car even runs yet? what kind of shape is the chassis in? what are your ET goals?

you seem to be all over the place as to what you want to do with the car. stop looking at parts catalogs and come up with a real life plan of what you want and how to get there.

No, he doesn't even have it yet. From what I gather from his posts, he has never even sat in it.

We aren't talking ****, but it's hard to tell you what you can do to go faster, when you don't even know what you are working with yet.

just take a deep breath and realize that racing is like anything else you can learn in life. it is a step by step process.
to get yourself started, decide on a reasonable goal. something that makes sense for the limitation of the car and your budget.
the absolute most important thing to keep in mind if you are interested in racing is that it is not about speed, it is about time.
most of what you can do at the beginning to reduce time are increasing traction and picking rear gears that take advantage of the power and power band of the car.
once you get the car, get to a track ASAP and find out what you are working with. give the car a good tune up and check everything over to make sure it is all working good.

throttle body bypass. coolant is run thru the throttle body. its mainly to help heat the throttle body linkage in cold environments to prevent sticking. but it REALLY heats up the incoming air charge alot! think about it, TPI motors run HOT as is with 195 degree Tstats, and fans turning on at near 220 degrees. that hot coolant really heats up the incoming air thru the TB, and that robs power.

simple rerouting the coolant line, bypassin the Tb will keep your TB and plenum cooler while the car is running... so that keeps incoming air cooler.....

How do you relocate it..Does anyone have a pic..
