msd wise, people use the cap and rotor. the red looks really cool if you do lt4 intake and crap too

just stick with oem and enjoy!

Not sure how the recent MSD units are. When MSD came out with the Opti a few years back they had allot of issues. Most common was the tolerance between the cap and rotor rubbing. This filled the opti with pretty red dust then eventually killed the opti side. Other issues such as rotors breaking and such got them a real bad rep fairly quickly. You would think with the quality of other MSD products their Opti's would be a good peice.

I've used OEM and the Accel units and have had no issues with either but keeping the RPMs no higher then 6,600.

If yiou do a search there is a threa about opti's and some of the company's that sell them.
